SWAT: SWAT residents announced Friday that there were no terrorists in the valley, warning that if the provincial government and police failed to expel terrorists from the Swat and Del border areas, they would face the terrorists themselves.
The announcement comes in the big public party heroes under the sign here by Matta Chowk’s SWAT officer Qaumi Jirga. Special police Oman pasoon (Singapore parade).
Speakers included MNA Dr Amjad Ali, Swat City Mayor Shahid Ali Khan and Elders Rahmat Ali Khan, Sher Badar Khan, Bahadar Sher Afghan, Ayoub Asharey, Sher Shah Khan and Mukhtar Yousafzai, Provincial Minister Fazal Hakim Khan Yousafzai, Amjad Ali Khan, Mpas Ali Shah Khan, Sultan Rom Khan and Mohammad Naem Khan and the chairman of Saeed Khan, the Kabal Tehsil Council, were also present.
Thousands of people from all walks of life emerged, filling the adjacent roads of Matta Chowk. Due to the lack of space, many participants climbed up the roof to listen to the speech. Dozens of women and children also participated in the parade.
Warn them to challenge terrorists if the government fails to expel them
Speakers stressed that today’s SWAT is no longer a place where terrorists can find shelter.
They said they knew who brought the terrorists to SWAT Hill. They asked terrorists to leave the valley to prevent harsh actions by residents. Speakers noted that the SWAT has more than 7,000 police officers equipped with modern weapons, but they have no authorization to launch operations against terrorists.
They said that as thousands of residents voted against violence, Mata’s gatherings should be considered a “counter-terrorism referendum.”
The Gilga leader described the terrorism “man-made” in Bajaur and the southern region and was rejected by the people. They demand peace across the province, reminding the state that it is responsible for protecting every citizen under the constitution.

According to local peace activists, the Aman Pasoon gathering held by Matta Chowk is unprecedented in the history of the region. Swat Olasi Pasoon held a historic rally in Nishat Chowk in 2022 when terrorists reappeared in the mountainous areas of Swat.
Two years later, the peaceful parade of SWAT Qaumi Jirga at the same location was even bigger.
