Bal Lu Chinco Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said on Thursday that the terrorists received “state sponsorship” in Afghanistan and they “attack us” from there.
He said in response to a question at a press conference in Islamabad that terrorists were provided with a “safe haven” and a place to run a training camp in Afghanistan.
He stressed that many of the terrorists who were killed recently came from Afghanistan.
The CM then called on Afghan Taliban rulers to comply with the Doha agreement, in which “you promise not to allow soil to be used in any country”.
Earlier in the press conference, he shared details of an intelligence-based operation conducted yesterday in Chagai, in which two of his men were killed and the other was killed. He said one of the two killed “terrorists” was a lawyer for professionals.
He details the lawyer’s arrest after the murder of Pakistan Air Force in Dal Badin on May 8. “We watched him for two to three months and surrounded his house yesterday. Then, through a loud spokesperson, we asked him to surrender and once we did, the shooting started.”
He said a federal police soldier was marred and security personnel carried out retaliatory shootings, resulting in a fire exchange that lasted two to three hours, adding that two “terrorists” were eventually killed and their third company.
He said in response to a question that efforts were being made to gather terrorist organizations in Bal Luzhi Province. He went on to say that this was a “war” promoted and funded by the Indian Intelligence Agency Research and Analysis Wing. “They launched an intelligence-based war against us and they are trying to bring together all those who want to destabilize Pakistan.”
Bugti also talked about Suspend or 4G mobile network service in Bal Luzhi Province.
“We are facing criticism of suspending 4G services,” he said, clarifying that the intention behind the authorities is not to cause inconvenience to the people. “However, terrorists have begun to use communication methods that are beyond the capabilities of intelligence agencies,” he explained, adding that the suspension of mobile network services will help track and capture terrorists.
