Islamabad: The Supreme Court explained that while retired Supreme Court judges will still have the right to have lifelong security strictly in accordance with presidential orders, their widows are not covered.
The Supreme Court clarified in a person Tuesday that the letter of security provided to the Secretary’s Home Office regarding retired SC judges has revised its security protocol within the scope of the retired judge. The letter clarified that the widow was an advertisement and added that the references to the widows had been withdrawn because they were not covered under Presidential Order No. 7 of 2018.
However, the Supreme Court reiterated that retired SC judges still have the right to obtain lifelong security strictly in accordance with the presidential order and applicable rules and protocols. The announcement explained that this right reflects the sensitivity of their past offices and the accompanying ongoing security issues.

To implement these security protocols, without granting any extraordinary benefits, increased concessions or privileges, a cycle has been issued to narrow down the deployment of force beyond rights, reaffirm compliance with the rules and promote coordination of the Supreme Court, indoor duties and provincial authorities.
