Islamabad: Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan claimed on Monday that her brother had banned party leaders from contacting “institutions”, stressing that they should contact her brother directly if they are genuinely interested in negotiations.

After hearing this, she made these remarks while talking to the media outside of Adiara Prison Toshakhana-2 case.

“Imran instructed the party leaders and workers not to contact the agency and if the agency wants to talk, it should talk directly to him,” she said.

Commenting on the Toshakhana-2 case, Ms. Khan said that last week, the main witness was smeared, but the judge did not end the matter.

“In addition, Brig Ahmed and Colonel Rayhan (former military secretary of Imran Khan) also confirmed that documents on the gifts were completed. So, logically, the case ended, but the judge was still recording the investigative officers. Two to three hearings,” she said.

She said Mr Khan was disappointed with the news coverage of the cricket team Performance. In October 2021, she quoted him as saying that Pakistan defeated India with 10 wickets from the same team.

Ms Khan said her brother compared the management of the Pakistan Cricket Council with the way the country is ruled, saying both face the same challenges.

She said her brother urged the country to attend the upcoming public meeting on September 27 in Peshawar to make it successful. Ms Khan added that Imran directed Junaid Akbar and Ali Amin Gandapur to make a joint effort to ensure the success of the rally.
