Military Court Conviction: Lawyer Minister summons for denial of appeal – Pakistan

Lahore: The Lahore High Court summoned a petition on Wednesday to convene the federal legal secretary sentence Awarded by the military court.

Chief Justice Aalia Neelum heard a petition filed by citizen Raheb Mehboob.

The petitioner’s lawyer argued that the Supreme Court has directed the federal government to amend the law to grant the right to appear in court by a convicted by a military court.

He noted that the Pakistan Attorney General assured the Supreme Court that the government would amend the Pakistan Army Act (PAA) and that the Official Secrets Act (OSA) allows criminals to appear.

Lawyers argue that the Supreme Court order has not been followed by the government.

After hearing the initial argument, the Chief Justice personally summoned the federal legal secretary at the next hearing.

The Chief Justice noted that the government has not spent time on the legislation it expected, but despite the Supreme Court’s order, the amendment has not yet been made a backbone.

CJ Neelum directed the Law Minister to appear in court and made an explanation on the matter.

The Chief Justice will resume hearings on September 25.

Notice: The Lahore High Court will answer a petition to police and other respondents on Wednesday for alleged harassment of the accounts of senior managers of prominent private companies.

Judge Ali Zia Bajwa heard a petition filed by Muhammad Asghar.

Advocate Nadeem Mahmood Mian appeared on behalf of the petitioner and argued that the company’s representatives had committed false cases against its client at the Ghalib Market Police Department.

He said that since the alloy, police dismissed the case, but the petitioner repented and suffered harassment for the false application.

Lawyers claim that the petitioner was harassed for making noises about the company for not enforcing labor laws.

He asked the court to limit police harassment of petitioners and to stop registration of false cases against him.

The judge directed the respondents to submit their reply within one week.
