Narowal: A four-year-old girl was kidnapped on September 15 in Jalalwali Village, Pasrur Tehsil and was murdered Thursday after a sexual assault in the wild after police allegedly failed to take timely measures to recover.
According to police sources, Qari Abdul Hafeez, a resident of Jalavalli village, a local Madressah Quran teacher, filed a complaint that on September 15, his four-year-old daughter Afifa Cainat left home after praying by Maghrib Prayers.
He said he and other locals searched for the girl alone and announced her sympathy at the local mosque, but it was not available. He said a complaint was later filed against the Qila Calerwala police officer who kidnapped unknown persons in a complaint under PPC Article 363.
A spokesman for Sialkot area police said DPO Faisal Shahzad formed a team led by Passrur DSP to recover the girl and arrest her kidnapper. He said three days later, police were told that a girl’s body was lying in the field.
He said a police team arrived at the scene and determined the body was missing AFIFA.
According to police, the body swelled because it was left in the water in the fields.
The police team recorded the evidence and witness statements, while the forensic team collected samples from the scene and sent them to the lab.
The body was examined after death at Pasru THQ Hospital and showed that the girl was sexually assaulted before the murder.
The DPO said investigators are using human intelligence sources and modern technology to stop the culprit.
Meanwhile, the victim’s family and residents in other areas protested against police for failing to recover the girl alive. They said that if the police worked hard to recover the girl in time, she would still be alive.
They seem to take action against the Chief Minister to show negligence and laziness to the police officers involved in order to restore the living girl.
