Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Sunday hopes to “encourage” results for U.S. President Donald Trump Meeting Earlier this week, along with the Muslim leaders in Washington, the U.S. head of state proposed plans to end the Israeli invasion of Gaza.
“We have fully participated in the conference on Gaza, and God will, and its encouraging results will be achieved soon,” he said.
According to the National Broadcasting Corporation Pakistan radioHe also said that Pakistan is also a Trump-led effort to bring peace to Palestine and end oppression of the Gaza people.
The Prime Minister also expressed trouble for the situation in Gaza, which has been subject to the identity of Israeli people since October 2023 and prayed that the cruelty and barbarity witnessed there would soon end.
Trump and Muslim leaders gathered with leaders from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Arab Egypt, Egypt, Jordan, Turkue and Indonesia on the 80th UN General Assembly in New York.
Before the formal consultation, Trump told his guests: “We have to restore hostages… This is a group that can do it, more than any other group in the world… So it’s an honor to be with you.”
Trump also stressed the urgency of ending the conflict: “We have 32 meetings here, which is very important because we will end what should be started.”
According to reports from Israel Channel 12 and American-based axisPresident Trump’s plan envisages immediate creation and release of hostages, including living and dead. The phased Israeli withdrawal from Gaza governance, excluding Hamas, but incorporated into the Palestinian authorities; the deployment of Arab and Muslim peacekeeping personnel to ensure Gaza and promote Israel’s evacuation; and internationally supported reconstruction and transition plans funded by regional contributors.
The details were reportedly shared with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, although Israel did not draft the plan.
Dar also attended the meeting with Trump, and he also expressed hope for the positive outcomes of the meeting, saying that once these results are achieved, “we will share them with the country.”
He also said the meeting lasted until last night.
Earlier in the speech, Prime Minister Shehbaz also mentioned his engagement in New York, where he led the Pakistan delegation to the 80th session of UNGA. He said his speech at UNGA reflected the sentiment of Pakistanis, where he fought the Indian-occupied Kashmir case.
The prime minister also spoke about his recent trip to the United States with Trump in Washington during his bilateral meeting with Trump, calling it a “productive” and “constructive” engagement.
“This is a hero in the behavioral environment,” he said. He hopes that this will help further Pakistan-USA.
