The bench for the Islamabad High Court branch was suspended on Thursday Order Major General Hafeezur Rehman, who evacuated from the chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA).
On the bench consisting of Justices Muhammad Asif and Inaam Ameen Minhas, occupied Rehman’s intrinsic performance against Justice Baby Sattar’s ruling on Tuesday, ordering the PTA chief to remove his “Illlegal”. Rights activist Usama Khilji in 2023.
Advocate Qasim Wadood served as the lawyer for the PTA chairman, and Attorney General Salman Mansoor was also present.
During the hearing, Wadood argued that “there was not even no relief in the petition”.
“The rules are not challenging nor are they notices to the Attorney General. Notices to the Attorney General,” he said.
Judge Satar said in the judgment: “The entire process of the membership position (administrative), the qualifications and standard prescriptions for the position and the way in which the recruitment process is lacking integrity and suffering from the legal mala fide.”
He ordered the highest-serving PTA members to serve temporarily as the PTA chairperson’s office allegations until the federal government appointed the regulated chairman.
