Islamabad: The lawsuit in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) was interrupted on Wednesday, and lawyers observed a partial strike from the Islamabad lawyers committee’s call to protest the decision to protect. bar Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri performs judicial duties.
Manzoor Jaja, the Association of Secretary of the High Court, issued a statement urging lawyers not to appear in court. He said the step was seen as a market for protest against the “unjust cessation” of the judicial work of a current judge, he said.
The strike had a significant impact on the function of the IHC. Chief Justice Sardar Mohammad Sarfraz Dogar’s career list was cancelled, while Justice Saman Raffat Imtiaz did not arrive at the court.
The court, which includes judges Babar Sattar and Judges Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan, cannot begin the lawsuit either. Both judges appeared in the IHC. However, they did not call the court to a virtual nod to the strike phone.
Interestingly, Justice Sattar sent a performance notice to the IHC Registration Officer and Deputy Register for their leniency and failure to respond to the strike phone call issued by the Pakistan Bar Association for police cases.
Justice Satar then questioned the power of the lawyers’ institutions to “prevent lawyers and litigants from obtaining justice.”
Meanwhile, Justice Arbab Mohammad Tahir and Justice Khadim Soomro have been on a three-day holiday, further affecting the career list for the day.
Despite the strike calls, some lawyers still emerged in emergencies. Secretary Manzoor Jaja himself was at the High Court premises during the protest.
On the other hand, IHC officials claimed that the benches available were to entertain all petitions as they were normal routines.
He said the judicial work was not a strange action, as five IHC judges, including Justice Jahangiri, asked to seek similar directions against Justice Dogar, Justice Khadim Housain and Justice Mohammad Asif in a petition filed in February.
Meanwhile, former advocate Islamabad lawyer Jahangir Khan Jadoon filed a petition to the IHC to seek the issuance of a court lawsuit by Chief Justice Mohammad Sarfraz Dogar.
The application was filed by Jadoon, a barrister in front of the IHC Registration Officer, in connection with the Hero of Heroes of the First Court on September 16. The petitioner believes that in the proceedings, the Chief Justice assured the lawyer that the order against Justice Jahangiri was not passed.
However, after the hearing, it was revealed that the judge was prohibited from performing judicial functions.

The petition exacerbates further tensions in the ongoing judicial crisis, with Justice Jahangiri already raising sharp criticism from the bar and raising questions about the constitutional restrictions on the power of the Chief Justice.
