Islamabad: The agency department has sent a new batch of police stations of Pakistan (PSP) officials to Bal Lu Chin, part of a senior security initiative spoofed by terrorist attacks last year to replace the team deployed last year.
The move is a direct implementation of the rotational policy formulated by the federal government to maintain the province’s sustained, enhanced administrative presence.
The new team consists of seven officials from the 48th General Training Program (CTP), which plans to hold responsibilities for one year in their career starting October 8.
This executive rotation voice was a decision during the meeting of the Supreme Council of the National Committee chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Deployment is part of the federal rotation policy, launched after the Jaffer Express attack
The meeting was followed by the Prime Minister’s visit to Bal Luchistan Province with the Army President Syed Asim Munir Attack in August 2024 On Jaffer Express.
During that meeting, the Prime Minister issued a directive saying: “PSP officials of the 47th CTP and above should be posted in Bal Luzhi Province in a phased manner.”
The Secretary of the Institutional Division has been the one-month deadline for the execution of the order.
In order to comply with the regulations, the government issued a notice on September 12, 2024, transferring 13 BS-17 officials from the 47th CTP to the Bal Luzhi Provincial Government.
Their mission is to “active 365 days” and does not include leave or training to strengthen provincial law enforcement and governance agencies.
The need for the measure was highlighted when Jaffer Express once again targeted the region’s security challenges in March this year.
The first one-year term for the first batch of officials this month.
On September 25, 2025, the Institutional Department issued two notices. The first batch of 13 officials of the 47th CTP were officially freed from the duties of Bal Luzhi Province, bringing them back to their original province allocation.
The second announced the release of seven new officials of the 48th CTP, ensuring a seamless transition.
Meanwhile, the federal government also extended the term of 35 PSP officials from the 49th CTP term and extended its tenure at the Federal Police Department (FC) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for another year.
Football Club is an important federal paramilitary force in the province for counter-insurgency operations.
According to official notice, officials will serve in 365 days of active service.
The provincial government can ask for an extension of any official, but obtain personal consent and approval from the Institutional Division.
Monthly reports on the use of these officers’ services must also be submitted.
