Lahore: Four men in police uniforms allegedly kidnapped a man in Harbanspura on Friday and later released him after receiving a ransom of Rs 4 million.

After inquiry, police raised FIRs to four kidnappers and conducted further assessments to track and arrest them.

In a complaint with police, Nadeem, a resident of the Medical Society, said he left his residence in a car around 11 a.m. Friday with Rs 1.5 lakh in cash to pay.

He said four men in police uniforms wearing two motorcycles chased and intercepted his car in Harbanspura area.

Nadham said the sisters occupied the car seats under the pretext of searching the vehicle and later blinded him. They took him to an unknown location, which was the automatic house, he said.

The complainant said the kidnapper initially demanded a safe release of Rs 100 million and asked him to arrange the amount of ransom. However, after negotiations, they reached a consent of 500M.

He said he called his friend Ali Raza and asked him to arrange the money, which he said he only had Rs 2.5 lakh. The kidnapper was angry, but then settled down.

Police said the kidnappers told Nadeem and his friend Raza that they belonged to a dangerous criminal gang that would kill the former if the ransom was not paid.

He said his friend Raza paid Rs 2.5 lakh to the kidnapper, who also took Rs 1.5 lakh he carried, and the two Torakin chains he wore.

Nadham said the kidnapper placed him near the loop and drove away. Thevictim demands that the kidnapper be arrested as soon as possible.

An investigative police officer is trying to track the abductor with the help of cameras of the Punjab security city management agency.
