Emirates Etihad Airways resumed its flight to Peshawar on Monday, according to a statement from the Pakistan Aviation Authority (PAA).
According to the statement, the Etihad flight 276 in Abu Dhabi landed in Peshawar today and was tributed by the airport authorities’ traditional water, and the airline landed in the city for the first time since 2014.
“Etihad Airways will now conduct five flights between Abu Dhabi and Peshawar on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, departing at 8 a.m. (from) EY 277,” the statement said.
It added: “These new connections provide passengers with greater choice, improved convenience and enhanced global connectivity, reflecting PAAS’ commitment to ensuring safe, efficient and world-class airport operations.”
Etihad is the third international airline to fly to Peshawar this year.
In August, Saudi low-cost carrier Flyadeal expands its business to Pakistan landing in Islamabad and Peshawar. The Riyadh plane landed early at 6:08 am, with 65 passengers on board and paid tribute to traditional water.
In May, UAE low-cost airline flydubai start Bacha Khan International Airport Operations, Dubai FZ-375 flight arrived. The first flight carried 164 passengers and was welcomed by celebrating the water cannon. The cake ceremony followed closely by senior officials, including the airport manager and Flydubai’s representative.
