Chitral: The president of Gahiret-Golen reserve requests the Ministry of Wildlife to revoke its decision to transfer Kashmir Markhor hunting permits to the buffer zone of Chitral Gol National Park (CGNP) for forging seams.
Faizur Rehman said in a conversation with reporters at the Chitral News Club on Monday that village residents from Gahiret to Golen have been engaged in the protection of Markhor since the early 1990s, which has led to major problems with the extinct marginal population.
He said the driving force behind successful community-based conservation was the trophy hunting proposed by the Wildlife Department in 1998, where 80% of its people were born on local rural conservation committees to use community collective development for collective development.
