•CM warns strict action against officials involved in disrespectful behavior

Quetta: Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Chief Minister of Bal Road, reiterates what is going on Repatriation Afghan refugees will be conducted in a transparent, well-organized and dignified manner to ensure everyone’s self-esteem.
“Special care will be extended to women, children and elderly refugees in Afghanistan. Any disrespectful behavior in the process will lead to strict discipline,” he said.
He made the remarks along with a high-level meeting on Thursday that examined the repatriation process of Afghan refugees and the legal and order status in the Qila Abdullah area.
The Chief Minister stressed that the provincial government is closely coordinating federal repatriation policies with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Hamza Shafqaat, Principal Secretary Babar Khan, Inspector General of Police Muhammad Tahir, Levies Director General Abdul Ghaffar Magsi, Quetta Division Commissioner Shahzeb Kakar and Commissioner for Afghan Refugees Balochistan Arbab Talib. Zub Dig, Qila Abdullah and Chaman’s deputy commissioner and district police also participated in the competition via video links.
Hamza Shafqaat introduced the repatriation process and security arrangements to the meeting.
The Chief Minister issued a clear direction that special attention must be paid to women, children and elderly people and that any humiliation or rude behavior cannot be tolerated under no circumstances. He warned that complaints of insults would immediately take action against the officials concerned.
He directed that maximum assistance and promotion must be ensured during the repatriation process, including temporary recruitment of female security personnel to assist women. He stressed that the government’s primary task is to complete the repatriation process while safeguarding human dignity.
The meeting also reviewed the legal and order situation of Qila Abdullah. The Chief Minister ordered indiscriminate actions regardless of taxation or police jurisdiction. CM Bugti directed the departments and regional governments to take immediate measures to conduct peaceful recovery and submitted a daily progress report to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
