Bajaur: A worker from the Awami Nation Party was killed in an attack on unknown attackers on Khar Tehsil here on Sunday.
Residents and Rescue 1122 officials said the incident occurred on the main Khar-Nagai Road in the Khazana area within the jurisdiction of the Loy Sam Police Department.
They told dawn Mir Azam Khan, 45, was heading to his home in Khazana Day when an unknown attacker opened fire at him, causing him to be seriously injured.
Rescue 1122 District Emergency Officer Amjad Khan said the injured were transferred to the Khar District Headquarters Hospital where doctors declared him dead in an emergency when he arrived at the hospital.
No one claimed responsibility for the incident.
Shortly after the murder, several ANP leaders and workers also went to social media to condemn the killings.
Gul Afzal Khan, Chairman of the ANP Local Branch, Deputy Secretary-General Sadiq Akbar Jan, Provincial Joint Secretary Shah Nase Khan, Sheikh Jan Zada and Party’s local MPA Mohammad Nisar Khan condemned Azam Khan for killing Azam Khan, who is the other secretary of Anp Khar teharsil of Anp Khar teharsil.
ANP leaders demanded early arrests of people in the incident.
Meanwhile, ANP Provincial President Mian Iftikhar Hussain and Secretary-General Hussain Shah Yousafzai also condemned the murder case and said his murder failed to be on the security of the government and the safety of the people.
In an article shared on the ANP official Facebook page on Sunday night, both leaders expressed concern and regretted Mr Khan’s murder.
They noted that the incident occurred near a police post.
They mentioned it before Maulana Khan Zeb It was also killed by unknown attackers in Bajaur, but the killer was still large, indicating that the government failed to maintain peace in the region.
“We urge the government to immediately arrest people involved in the two killings.”
