All passengers of 11 M-5 were safely recovered from Katcha Dacoits – Pakistan

Rahim Yar Khan: In a joint operation between police and the country’s Prime Minister’s intelligence agency, 11 kidnapped passengers from the Sukkur-Multan Expressway (M-5) were safely recovered from the infamous Indhar Dacoit gang in the early hours of Friday.

Police have been chasing Dacoits after kidnapping several people a few days ago, according to police spokesman Zeeshan Randhawa. He said that after tipping, action was taken against the kidnappers and all hostages were saved.

According to details, Dacoits in the Cata area kidnapped 11 people on the Sukkur-Multan highway near Nawazabad in Sadiqabad Tehsil on the night between September 4 and September 5. The gangsters opened fire on the vehicles between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m., forcing them to stop at the intersection of the Azampur Rest area and Guddu.

The crew of a passenger bus was reportedly injured during the attack and moved to the emergency ward of the Sheikh Zaid Medical College Hospital (SZMCH) in Rahim Yar Khan. Traffic also hung for more than four hours before dawn finally resumed.

Police operations near the Punjab border and Indhang threats to retribution

Other Inspector General of South Punjab (IG) Kamran Khan told dawn There are 20 to 25 sisters stacking vehicles on the highway. “Three people were injured, two of them suffered minor injuries, so they were discharged. One gunshot wound to the waist and legs were taken to the hospital,” he said.

SZMCH spokesman Rana Ilyas Ahmed confirms dawn The facility was admitted to three injured people, one of whom was being treated for a gunshot wound to the leg. He said the injured person was the same coach and praised from Sheikhupura.

On the same day, Indhang leader Tanvir alias Dodu Indhar threatened the police through retribution. Later on September 8, Dodu Indhar claimed responsibility for the kidnapping. He also claimed that police killed a man from his tribe after being imprisoned.

He claimed that police are planning to be released within a few months with his brother’s same fate. On another videotape, nine hostages stood in the flood, claiming they killed two passengers and demanded the release of his brother. However, all 11 passengers were alive during the operation.

It is necessary to mention here that CATA criminals have kidnapped 72 people so far this year. This is not the first time the M-5 street is targeted by criminals, and after several incidents, the police started the ES Shorting vehicle.
