US cricket suspended by World Governors – World

The International Cricket Commission (ICC) suspends U.S. cricket’s membership in the sport’s world governing body, although the country’s teams are still able to play in the 2028 Los Angeles game Olympic Games.

The Board of Directors of the International Criminal Court agreed to “repeat and continue to violate its large-scale acts as members of the ICC, under the Constitution of the International Criminal Court,” statement Release later on Tuesday.

“This includes but is not limited to the failure to implement functional governance structures” and “lack of progress in achieving national governance status in the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC).

The ICC also cited “significant actions that have caused reputational damage in the United States and around the world” without detailed descriptions.

The U.S. men’s team will still occupy a place in the T20 World Cup in February next year, with the team temporarily being supervised by the ICC.

US Cricket was previously “notified” at the 2024 ICC Annual General Meeting to “fail with membership standards” and given 12 months to implement the necessary changes.
