U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reached an agreement on a proposal to end the conflict in Gaza and thanked Prime Minister Shehhhbaz Sharif and Army Chief of Staff Marshal Asim Munir for their support.

“What has happened in hundreds of years, thousands of years…at least, we’re very, very close, very close, very close,” Trump said. “We’re working very well together and working with many other countries, and that’s how this situation is resolved.”
Trump said his goal is peace throughout the Middle East, not just the Gaza Strip. He added that he and Netanyahu discussed issues such as Iran, the Abraham Agreement and ended the Gaza conflict.
“This is part of the big picture, that is, peace in the Middle East… let’s call it eternal’ peace in the Middle East.”
“I officially released our principles of peace after extensive consultations with friends and partners across the region,” Trump announced, adding that people “really liked it.”
“These are all through comprehensive consideration and cooperation with the countries we are talking about,” he added. “I would like to thank the leaders of many Arab and Muslim countries for their strong support in developing proposals and our allies in Europe.
The U.S. president also thanked Netanyahu for agreeing to the plan and “believe that if we work together, we can end the death and destruction in the region.”
“If accepted by Hamas, the proposal calls for the immediate release of all remaining hostages, but in any case, more than 72 hours,” Trump said. “The hostages are back.”
Trump said this means “the immediate end of the war itself.”
“Under the plan, both Arab and Muslim countries have committed to … rapidly demilitarizing Gaza, retired military capabilities of Hamas and all other terrorist organizations, we are connecting with the countries we named and other countries to deal with Hamas, and I heard Hamas.”
“New Transitional Authorization”
Trump added that as part of the agreement, the “terrorist infrastructure” including tunnels and weapons production facilities will be removed and training will be conducted in the Gaza Strip.
“Working with the new transitional authority in Gaza, all parties will agree to the timetable for Israeli forces to withdraw at the stage … no longer fully shot jumps,” Trump said.
He added: “Arab and Muslim countries need to have the opportunity to fulfill these promises of dealing with Hamas. They are a group of people I have not dealt with.” “If Hamas refuses this deal, it’s always possible…I would feel like we’ll have a positive answer, but if not, if you know Bibi (Netanyahu), you’ll have my full support to do what you have to do.
U.S. President stressed that ultimately, the goal is to eliminate any dangers he attributes to Hamas.
“To ensure the success of this effort, my plan calls for the establishment of a new international monitoring body,” he said, calling it the ‘peace commission’ and noting that it will be led by Arab leaders, Israel and Trump himself.
“We will do this right, and we will make leaders from other countries and very outstanding leaders a leader,” Trump said. “One of the people who want to be a board member is former British Minister Tony Blair.”
Trump said there will be more leaders whose names will be announced in the coming days.
He added that the World Bank will be charged with training and recruiting a new government composed of Palestinians and “highly qualified experts from all over the world.”
“Hamas and other terrorist groups will have no role in the governance of Gaza,” he said. “It’s time to rebuild something very important for our hostages.”
However, Trump noted that Netanyahu remains opposed to the Palestinian state, but said what he did today is good for Israel. He added that the Israeli public hopes to end the fight and the return of hostages.
“Some other countries foolishly recognize a Palestinian state…but I think they are very tired of the development of so many decades (the bones) happening,” he said. “The Israelites are because of it (the end of the battle).
“I challenge the Palestinians to take charge of their destiny,” Trump added. “If the Palestinian authorities do not complete my reforms… they have to blame themselves.”
“Maybe Iran can join the Abraham Agreement”
Trump added that the agreement would bring about sustainable long-term peace, adding that, in terms of the Abraham agreement, “maybe Iran can even get in there”.
“They may be members,” Trump added. “I said a long time ago Iran will be a member of the deal.
“This is the closest we have ever been to truly peaceful.”
“Leaders discussed proposals to end the Gaza war, prospects for a safer Middle East, and the need for greater understanding among their countries,” the White House press conference with Trump and Israeli Prime Minister said.
Trump added that Netanyahu regretted an Israeli attack in Doha amid three calls from the Oval Office.
“Bibi is talking to Qatar’s Prime Minister Al-Thani… They did have a deep dialogue,” the U.S. president said. “We agree to launch a formal trilateral mechanism between Israel, Qatar and the United States to start the dialogue to enhance mutual security, correct errors and avoid future doubts.”
Trump said it was time for Hamas to accept the terms of the proposal, noting that Hamas was “not the same person” the United States is dealing with because of the leaders they were mostly killed during the Gaza conflict.
“Everyone who wants to end violence and destruction should be united and called on Hamas to accept a very fair offer so that we can end the war, immediately we will restore hostages now and have eternal peace.”
New starts in Gaza and the region: Netanyahu
Netanyahu was on the floor thanking Trump for his warm hospitality and his friendship and leadership.
“When you focus on making America great again, your foreign leadership is improving the world: ending war and promoting peace,” the Israeli Prime Minister said.
“I believe that today we are taking another critical step towards the end of the war in Gaza and laying the foundation for a sharp push toward peace in the Middle East, which I believe goes beyond the Middle East – a very important Muslim country.
“I support your plan to end the war in Gaza, which achieves our war goals,” Netanyahu told Trump. “It will take all hostages back to Israel, remove Hamas’ military capabilities and its political rule, and ensure that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel.”
Netanyahu added that the plan could not be achieved without the “courage and sacrifice of our incredible brave soldiers”, calling the conflict a “war between civilization and barbarism.”
“We are winning the war next and expanding peace,” he said. “Your (Trump) plan is consistent with our administration’s five principles for the end of the war and after Hamas.
“This is our plan: All our hostages, including those living and those of the dead, will return home immediately. Hamas will be disarmed. Gaza will be demilitarized. Israel will retain security responsibilities, including the security perimeter of prophecy. Neither the peaceful civilians run by Hamas or Palestinian authorities.”
Netanyahu said if Hamas agrees to the plan, the first step would be to “moderate evacuation” and all hostages were released within 72 hours.
He added: “The next step will be to establish an international agency that is accused of completely disarming Hamas and demilitarized Gaza.”
“If this international institution succeeds, we will permanently end the war. Israel will conduct further evacuation related to the extent of disarmament and demilitarization, but will remain secure for the foreseeable future.”
However, Netanyahu said that if Hamas refuses or violates the agreement, then Israel “will do the work on its own.”
“This can be in an easy way…or it’s hard to do, but it will be done. We prefer the simple way, but it has to be done.”
Netanyahu added that he was encouraged not to recognize Palestine after Trump issued a statement at the UN General Assembly, noting that it would “reward terrorists, undermine security and endanger Israel’s survival.”
“I thank you (Trump) for your firm position that there is nothing that PA can do in Gaza without radical and real transformation,” he said.
Netanyahu said fundamental changes needed, including ending “paid paid”, changing Palestinian textbooks that “professed to hate Jews”, ending “tribunals” of the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court and the International Criminal Court, and stopping incitement and stopping incitement.

“I also firmly believe that lasting peace between the Palestinian people and Israel is crucial to bringing political stability and economic growth to the region,” the Prime Minister wrote.
He added: “It is also my strong belief that President Trump is fully prepared to help in any way necessary to make this extremely important and urgent understanding a reality.”
Prime Minister Shebaz also praised “Trump’s leadership and (his) special envoy Steve Witkoff’s efforts to end the conflict for nearly two years.”
He added: “I also firmly believe that the implementation of the proposals between the two countries is crucial to ensuring lasting peace in the region.”
