Washington: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin’Bibi’Netanyahu has reached a consensus with a deal after President Donald Trump said he has reached a long-awaited plan to end the war in Gaza.
Trump said at a press conference with Netanyahu, who is visiting the White House on Monday that he has worked with many other countries and hopes it is “how this situation is resolved.”
Trump said his goal is peace throughout the Middle East, not just the Gaza Strip.
“This is part of the big picture, that is, peace in the Middle East… let’s call it eternal’ peace in the Middle East.”
In his speech, President Trump thanked leaders of Arab and Muslim countries for their support in formulating the proposal and European allies.
“The Prime Minister and the Marshal of Pakistan … they were with us from the very beginning. In fact, they were just making a statement saying they fully believe in the agreement.”
“They support this 100%.” Earlier, in an article on X, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the U.S. president’s “20 Points” plan to end the Israeli invasion of Gaza.
He wrote: “I… firmly believe that lasting peace between the Palestinian people and Israel is crucial to bringing political stability and economic growth to the region. It is also my strong belief that President Trump is fully prepared to provide any necessary means in any way necessary to make this great impact and understanding a reality.”
Prime Minister Shebaz also praised “Trump’s leadership and his envoy Steve Witkoff’s efforts to end the conflict for nearly two years…I also firmly believe that implementing the two-country proposal is essential.
The help of the Muslim group
At the White House, the U.S. President also thanked Netanyahu for handling the plan. “If accepted by Hamas, the proposal calls for the immediate release of all remaining hostages, but in any case, more than 72 hours,” Trump said. “Under the plan, Arab and Muslim countries have committed … to quickly demilitarize Gaza, retire the military capabilities of Hamas and all other terrorist organizations.”
Trump added that as part of the agreement, the “terrorist infrastructure” including tunnels and weapons production facilities will be removed and training will be conducted in the Gaza Strip.
“Working with Gaza’s new transitional agency, all parties will agree to a timetable for Israeli forces to withdraw at the stage – there is no more hope,” Trump said.
He added: “Arab and Muslim countries need to have the opportunity to fulfill these commitments to dealing with Hamas. They are a group of people I have not dealt with.”
“If Hamas refuses to trade, it’s always possible…I have a feeling that we’ll have a positive answer, but if not, if you know Bibi (Netanyahu), you’ll have my full support to do what you have to do.”
Meanwhile, Hamas said its officials had received a 20-point peace proposal from the White House.

Among other things, the proposal calls on the United States, Arab countries and other international partners to establish the Interim International Stability Force (ISF), which will immediately train law enforcement in Gaza, which will become a long-term internal security force.
The ISF will also be responsible for securing the Gaza border with Israel and Egypt and will work to prevent the entry of ammunition, retain aid and reconstruction materials that flow into the booked Palestinian enclave.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry issued a joint statement on behalf of Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkui, Qatar and Egypt, welcomes Trump’s leadership and sincere efforts to end the war in Gaza.
The statement confirms the preparation of the Muslim Group for active and constructive efforts with the parties to determine the agreement and ensure its implementation.
“Peace Commission”
“To ensure the success of this effort, my plan calls for the establishment of a new international monitoring body,” he said, calling it the ‘peace commission’ and noting that it will be led by Arab leaders, Israel and Trump himself.
“We will do this right, and we will make leaders from other countries and very outstanding leaders a leader,” Trump said. “One of the people who want to be a member of the board is former British Minister Tony Blair.” He said tomorrow’s name will be announced in the coming days.
Trump added that the World Bank will be charged with training and recruiting a new government composed of Palestinians and “highly qualified experts from all over the world.”
“Hamas and other terrorist groups will have no role in the governance of Gaza,” he said. “It’s time to rebuild something very important for our hostages.”
However, Trump noted that Netanyahu remains opposed to the Palestinian state, but said what he did today is good for Israel.
He added that the Israeli public hopes to end the fight and the return of hostages.
“Some other countries foolishly recognize a Palestinian state … but I think they are very tired of the development of (bone) that has happened for so many decades,” he said.
“I challenge the Palestinians to take charge of their destiny,” Trump added. “If the Palestinian authorities do not complete my reforms… they have to blame themselves.”
Apologize to Qatar
The White House said earlier, Netanyahu regretted the attack on the leader of Qatar in Doha during a three-call call with Trump.
It added that Netanyahu also expressed regret for Israel that violated Qatar’s sovereignty and “confirm that Israel will not conduct such attacks in the future”.
Trump added that the agreement would bring about sustainable long-term peace, adding that, in terms of the Abraham agreement, “maybe Iran can even get in there”.
“They may be members,” Trump added. “I said a long time ago Iran will be a member of the deal.”
