The United Nations said Israel’s offensive led to the largest number of child amputations in modern history in the world, Al Jazeera Report.

Six months ago, U.S. President Trump announced that Jordan would receive 2,000 medical evacuations. But Israel only allows 175 children to leave. One of them is eight-year-old Muhammad, who lost his legs when Israel bombed the tents of his family in Gaza.

“I want to play football with them, play football with them. I go out to Gaza and hang out with my friends,” he said as he received a new leg.

But many children cannot leave the area. For those who stay behind, the risk of death is high, not just the Israeli bombing.

“I remember the kid about nine years old and came in after the attack. His intestines came out of the abdomen. We don’t have an ICU,” said Osama Hamid, a surgeon in the specialist hospital in Amman, the capital of Jordan.

“We only have two operating rooms, we made the decision. Let him be peaceful,” Hamid said. Hamid said he volunteered three times in Gaza and was then entered again by Israel.
