Geneva: UN investigators said on Tuesday that Israel is Invest The genocide in Gaza was to destroy Palestinians, accusing the Israeli Prime Minister and other top officials of inciting.
Commission head Navi Pillay told the United Nations Commission on Independent International Inquiry (COI) (COI) that the committee did not speak on behalf of the world body and found that “genocide happened in Gaza” AFP. “The responsibility lies with the State of Israel.”

After the report was released, Volker Turk, head of rights at the United Nations, said the court decided whether a genocide occurred, but warned: “We see evidence continue.”
Israel “clearly” rejected Tuesday’s report, which the Foreign Ministry described as “distorted and false” and called for “immediate repeal of the inquiry.”

Nearly two years after the war broke out in Gaza, the commission released its latest report. The report, launched on Tuesday by Israel, launched a ground attack on Gaza City, and the United Nations declared a mature famine.
The COI concluded that since October 2023, Israeli authorities and forces have committed “four of the five acts of genocide” listed in the 1948 Genocide Convention.
These are “killing members of the group, causing serious physical or mental harm to the members of the group, intentionally causing groups to live in conditions intended to cause their physical damage in whole or in part, and measures were taken.
Investigators said the explicit statements of Israeli civilians and military authorities and their patterns of military operations “showed that the intention of genocide was to destroy the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip was a group.”
They concluded that Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant “incited the Genocide Commission and Israeli authorities failed to act against them to punish them for this incitement.”
“The responsibility for these atrocities is with the Israeli authorities,” said Pillay, a former South African judge.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Chris Sidoti stressed that the Israeli people were also “betrayed by the government” and that their “genocide wars… make their peace and security… almost impossible in the foreseeable future”.
“Their trauma and pain are being taken up by Netanyahu and his relatives,” he told reporters.
