Iran’s top security agency said on Saturday that Britain, France and Germany took action to reimpose UN sanctions and would “effectively suspend” its cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog.

“Despite cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the (International Atomic Energy) Agency and the proposed plan to resolve the issue, actions of European countries will effectively suspend the path to cooperation with the agency,” said the highest national security in the television statue.

The UK, France and Germany are parties to the 2015 contract, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which exempts Iranian relief from UN sanctions in exchange for non-surveillance restrictions on its nuclear activities.

The three administrations said Iran violated the agreement under its commitments, which effectively pulled out of synchronization in 2018 during President Donald Trump’s first term.

UN Security Council vote Sanctions against Iran were re-illuminated Friday after European pressure.

Russia slammed the vote earlier today and warned of the risk of “escalating tensions.”

“The Russian side repeatedly pointed out the provocative and illegal nature of European state operations participating in the JCPOA,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“These actions have nothing to do with diplomacy and have only led to further escalation of tensions surrounding Iran’s nuclear program,” the Russian ministry said.

Moscow In August, Moscow warned that sanctions against Iran were re-imposed and its key allies risked “irreparable consequences.”

Over the past decade, Tehran and Moscow have been strengthening their political, military and economic ties as Russia moves from the West.

The relationship between the two countries is getting closer after Russia launched an offensive in Ukraine.
