In Pakistan, more Afghans arrive in Germany – World

Berlin: A new group of Afghans have been promised to take refuge in Germany, the latest limbo fleeing Pakistan for months.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Interior said 28 Afghans landed at Hannover Airport in the afternoon.

Afghans are accepted under refugee plans developed by the former German government freezing Conservative Prime Minister Friedrich Merz took office in May.

The German plan targets Afghans who have worked with German troops in Afghanistan or are considered to have special risks such as journalists, lawyers and human rights activists.
