Airports in Copenhagen and Oslo reopened Tuesday, police said.
In Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, police said several large drones were seen at the airport late Monday and ended up flying away for several hours.
“The drone disappeared and the airport opened again,” Deputy Police Inspector Jakob Hansen told reporters.
“We didn’t drop the drone,” he added.
Hansen said police are working with Danish military and intelligence agencies to understand where the drone comes from.
He said police also had drone sightings in the Norwegian capital with colleagues in Oslo, which also caused the airport to be closed for several hours.
“We have two different drone witnesses,” said Monica Fai, a spokeswoman for the Oslo airport. AFP.
“We reopened the airport around 3:15 a.m. (6:15 a.m. PKT,” she said.
During the closure, flights were moved to nearby destinations, and officials at both airports said they hope there will continue to be some delays and disruptions on Tuesday.
The incident happened after the government’s government Poland,,,,, Estonia and Romania Allegations that Russia violated their airspace this month, and allegations that Moscow dismissed Russia.
When asked if the drone above Copenhagen Airport could have come from Russia, Deputy Police Inspector Hansen said: “We don’t know yet.”
Danish police also said the shutdown of drones at the country’s main airports appeared to be attempting to prove some capabilities by “capable operators”, adding that no sisters were identified.
“We have concluded that this is what we call the operator of capabilities,” Danish police chief Jens Jesspersen told reporters on Tuesday.
“This is an actor with the ability, will and tools,” said Jesperson, adding that it is too early to contact the events in Denmark and Norway.
