The Punjab government has relaxed the transfer policy for teachers looking for posts near their homes. Qualifying teachers will now be exempt from the three-year service condition that previously applied for a transfer.
Earlier, teachers must complete at least three years at one station that is eligible for transfer.
Meanwhile, applications for transfers under the Open Merit category are currently accepted online. Teachahers can apply until September 28. The verification of applications will be completed by October 4, and transfer orders will be issued on October 15.
