The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has a Correctionum to Advertisement No. 22/2025 regarding the recruitment of various posts in the Punjab Prison Division. The corridor was posted on the official PPSC website www.ppsc.gop.pk
According to the revised notice, the recruitment contains five posts of the Deputy Superintendent Jail (BS-17), one post of Lady Deputy Superintendent Jail (BS-17), ninety posts (BS-16) including four reserved for minority quota and four posts by Lady Assistant Superintendent Jail (BS-16). All positions will be filled regularly.
The Correctionum also provides an explanation of the curriculum for the written exam, which will consist of:
- Paper-i: General ability (MCQs that have general knowledge, current affairs, Islamic studies/general knowledge for non -muslim candidates, English, urdu, everyday science, math, geography and computer studies) -100 points, 90 minutes.
- Paper-II: Prison Laws (The Prisons Act, 1894; Juvenile Justice System Act, 2018; Un Nelson Mandela Rules, 2015) – 100 points, 90 minutes.
- Paper-III: English essay – 100 points, 2 hours.
- Paper-IV: Urdu -essay – 100 points, 2 hours.
The written examination has a total of 500 points and can be performed in two phases. Candidates must score at least 40% points in each subject and 50% in general to qualify. Successful candidates will be shortlisted on a ratio of 1: 5. The PPSC also announced that negative marking will be applied in MCQs, with 0.25 points covered per wrong answer.
