Bahawalpur: An elderly woman allegedly died after rushing for ration backpacks at a flood relief centre near Chowk Kumharanwala in Jalalpur Pirwala on Monday.
According to the daughter of 60-year-old victim Bano Bibi, her mother went to Jalalpur Pirwala’s flood relief centre to collect rations, where she was in a hurry to get injured.
She was transferred to the hospital and expired on Monday.
Her daughter collected her body from the hospital.
Meanwhile, Munawar Kachala, who belongs to Mauza Karmonwali, confirmed that the house of Bano Bibi was severely affected by the flood.
He said the son of the deceased disappeared earlier in the flood.
Arrested: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency of Multan (NCCIA) claims to have arrested a man suspected of being involved in child pornography.
