The Punjab government has decided to recruit 12,000 temporary teachers for public schools across the province.
With this new step, the total number of school teachers (SOIs) in Punjab’s educational institution will reach 24,000. The initiative is aimed at the shortage of teaching staff in government schools.
According to the Minister of Provincial Education, the contracts of SOIs recruited last year will also be extended.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has given formal approval for the new rental plan, and an official advertisement inviting applications will be issued soon.
Under the scheme, the newly rented teachars are appointed on a four -month contract basis. They will receive a monthly salary of up to Rs. 45,000.
