Sialkot police on Monday registered in the first information report (FIR) of multiple sisters, allegedly damaging property and attacks of members of the Ahmadi community the night before.

It invokes Section 395 (punishment against Dako), Article 353 (attack or criminal force prevents civil servants from performing their duties), 436 (inflicted by fire or explosive substances, intent to destroy houses), 153-a (153-a) (through religious and religious beliefs or religious beliefs, religious beliefs or religious futile acts, beliefs), 324 (attempted murder), 148 (riots, armed with deadly weapons) and 149 (each member of the illegal congress crime committed in public objects in Pakistan’s criminal law), and read using Article 7 of the Counter-Terrorism Act.
The complainant said in the FIR, along with other police officers, patrols and check security arrangements were conducted on Sunday at Bhalowali Chowk, when they received reports around 8 p.m., some of whom were angry at the Ahmadi Community and large-scale employees were employed by them on a wide range of Piro Chak Village. There are also reports that they were loting and burning property.
“When I arrived at the scene, about 200-250 people were armed with weapons and sticks,” he said, adding that while looking at the police, they rushed towards them and snatched the weapons from the two policemen.
According to the FIR, it is impossible for police to control the mob immediately due to the small number of law enforcement personnel. “So, I contacted the control room and sent more people.” FIR quoted the complainant.
He added that there was a commotion at the scene of the incident due to the residents being “intimidated.”
The complainant said the initial investigation showed that on September 21, a woman from the Ahmadi community died in a village that was not allowed to be buried. Meanwhile, he continued, “hate against religion and hate foundations” was promoted to the community, leading to worsening of the situation in law and order.
The complainant said five people were injured during this period, adding that they were taken to the hospital.
FIR said further facts of the incident will be clear after the injury and affected persons are included in the investigation.

Meanwhile, Sialkot District Police (DPO) Faisal Shehzad told dawn.com Eight people were injured in the incident on Sunday night, “five of them were from the Ahmadi community and three from TLP (Tehreek-i-labbaik Pakistan).”.
He said one person was shot and added that all injuries were stable in the Ahmadi community.
The DPO also said that when the burial of Ahmadi women was not allowed in the cemetery established in 1945. He added that two cases were registered – one against members of the Ahmadi community and the other against their opponents.
On Saturday, he continued that some members of the Ahmadi community “beat another person, and then TLP members set up two to three farmhouses and caught fire a store.” The official said they also “tortured” members of the Ahmadi community.
“Anti-motorcycle police were called and the situation is normal now,” he said.
