Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon issued a statement expressing grief over Mir’s death, the late journalist called “a hardworking and fearless journalist who always emphasizes public issues”.
“The Sindh government will have to do its best to extend the ropes to those involved in the attack on Imtiaz Mir,” Mason said. “The Sindh government is committed to protecting the lives and property of journalists.”
