Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Amin Ali Gandapur asserted on Saturday that his provincial government did not support any action – referring to military operations against militants across the province.
He said at a PTI rally in Peshawar, “We will not allow any action, nor support it… the federal government, listen. The KP government does not support action or displacement.”
Gandapur called on “federal agencies” to talk to Afghanistan and resolve the country’s terrorism problem.
He added: “We are not because of the war, we will object to it.”
Gandapur has been shifting the stance of the matter.
In July, he explain In a carefully edited video message, the armed forces should be regarded as “guests” and respected in the province at the request of the KP government.
This is in stark contrast to another video statement he made after the PTI parliamentary meeting a day ago, saying innocent civilians were marred in a military offensive against militants in the Bajaur district. He added that such actions had negative effects and eroded trust between people and the troops.
Meanwhile, PTI remains opposed to military operations.
Recently on Tuesday, he explain Mortar shelling, drones and fighters against terrorists are the military’s constitutional rights and the provincial government cannot stop it.
Gandapur calls for justice
At today’s rally, KP CM also urged the judiciary to be consistent with the Constitution. “Just to Imran Khan, his wife and the people,” Gandapur said.
CM further pointed out that PTI isHaqeeqi Azadi‘It will continue until success.
Speaking to Army Chief Marshal Asim Munir, he said: “It is essential to play his role and resolve Imran’s problems, just as the founder of the PTI played his role in the conflict with India in May, demanding that the people stand with the armed forces.
PTI leader Faisal Javed earlier announced that Imran’s “video message” would be held at the rally.
“For a while, Imran Khan would talk to you on this screen, Peshawar,” he said.
Later, a video of Imran’s address was played, which was obtained from previous public assets.
Some leaders, Azam Swati, also spoke about the party and vowed to stand high and “continue to be cruel and savage” until Imran was released from prison. He expressed his hope that Imran will be released from prison soon and lead the country to develop, prosperity and peace.
