The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FO) said on Saturday that 24 Pakistani nationals boarded aboard a liquid-gas petroleum gasoline (LPG) tanker were burned to death along Yemen’s coast, which was safe and reasonable and departed from Yemen’s waters.

In a statement released today, the FO said the LPG tanker caught fire on the coast of Yemen on September 17.
“The tanker is carrying a multinational crew member, including 24 Pakistani nationals,” it said.
It added: “After receiving news about the incident, the Pakistani embassy has established contacts with the Yemeni authorities to ensure the well-being of the crew.
The diplomatic mission also kept in touch with the families of Pakistan crew members and kept them up to date on the situation, the FO said.
“Today, LPG tankers have left (from the port) and are standing out from Yemeni waters, including the entire crew, including Pakistani nationals,” it said.
