24 Pakistani nationals’ safety and sound after burning LPG ships on fire along Yemen’s coast: fo-World

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FO) said on Saturday that 24 Pakistani nationals were burned to death on a liquid-gas petroleum gasoline (LPG) tanker, which was safe and stable and set out from Yemeni waters.

In a statement released today, the FO said the LPG tanker opened fire on the coast of Yemen on September 17.

“The tanker is carrying a multinational crew member, including 24 Pakistani nationals,” it said.

It added: “After receiving news about the incident, the Pakistani embassy has established contacts with the Yemeni authorities to ensure the well-being of the crew.

The diplomatic mission also kept in touch with the families of Pakistan crew members and kept them up to date on the situation, the FO said.

“Today, LPG tankers have left (from the port) and are standing out from Yemeni waters, including the entire crew, including Pakistani nationals,” it said.
