The Sindh government has launched formal consultations with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAGE) to launch O and A-level programs in public schools across the province.
On Thursday, Sindh Minister of Education Syed Sardar Ali Shah met with a Caye delegation led by Uzma Yousuf, Land Director of Pakistan. Senior officials, including school education secretary Zahid Ali Abbasi, also attended the meeting.
Discussions focused on strengthening Sindh’s education system through curriculum development, teacher education, foundation learning and assessment reforms. Both parties have agreed to establish a joint working group that has the task of drawing practical strategies and providing long -term implementation.
Minister Shah has eliminated the government’s commitment to ensure that public school students have access to an international standard tillage. He announced that at least one school in each district and A-level subjects will offer subjects, ensuring that registration and examination costs will be subsidized.
“No child should be withheld due to financial restrictions. We want equal opportunities for everyone,” Shah said.
Caye’s land director, Uzma Yousuf, emphasized the importance of teacher education and reforms in early education and emphasizes that the preparation at O-level must begin with the foundation. She has terminated Caye’s full support in reforms, capacity building and advisory services, and described the development of teachers as a sustainable long -term goal.
