The Punjab government on Friday approved a new medical admission policy for public and private colleges across the province. The decision was made at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, which focused on the health sector reform.
According to the new policy, the pass of the MDCAT exam was made compulsory for admission to the medical and dental institutes of the government. For the children of the overseas Pakistanians, the MDCAT fee was fixed at $ 10,000.
The Cabinet also approved changes to the admission process in private colleges. Once the name of a Cand Test appears on the merit list, a third of the tuition fees are deposited at the University of Health Sciences (UHS). After the final merit list has been issued, UHS will transfer the fire to the various institute, with students paying the balance directly to the college.
To meet the demand for specialists, the meeting ruled that Dectgraduate Training will be sent in private hospitals for specialization -medical colleges.
Other decisions include establishing medical blocks within existing public universities of new independent colleges and exposed work at Nawaz Sharif Medical City.
CM Maryam Nawaz also expressed satisfaction with the first successful angioplastic in the Sahiwal Heart Center and Mayo Hospital instructed to ensure patient care in the barn center, along with cancer patints.
