Pakistan’s chief secretary claims that with local support, Bajaur, Del safe

Peshawar: Shahab Ali Shah, chief secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkwa, praised the community and Dir district of Bajaur on Thursday, expressing strong support for the peace efforts by participating in Aman Jirgas and providing active cooperation to the legal enforcement agencies.

He said this while presiding a meeting, asking for a review of the action plan for the provincial level terrorismaccording to the statement.

Mr Shah said the situation in Bajaur and Dir regions was controlled through strong community support, thus avoiding collateral damage.

However, he noted that some southern and merged tribal areas face challenges that must be addressed through stronger administrative and public trust building measurements.

The Chief Secretary also stressed the need for an effective porridge implementation “wide system approach”. He said law enforcement agencies alone could address terrorism.

Say community-driven development is essential for peacekeeping

Mr Shah said civil society and institutions should also support the cause of nationality, especially when eliminating the support structure of terrorists.

He directed all departments and field formations to identify and neutralize such support systems without delay.

The chief secretary said that the strength of the police force and the establishment of effective security mechanisms last year greatly enhanced the province’s ability to respond to security threats.

“With the effective implementation of the porridge, we are confident that peace and stability will be restored throughout the province,” he said.

Mr. Shah stressed that maintaining law and order remains the top priority of the provincial government.

“There are a lot of resources and public funds that have been allocated to strengthen police, enhance safe urban initiatives and improve security infrastructure,” he said.

The Chief Secretary also directed the agencies to speed up the implementation of development projects in vulnerable areas, saying community-driven development is crucial to maintaining peace.

He stressed the urgent need to improve road infrastructure to ensure functional trade routes and called for more investment in youth skills development and employment generation.

The meeting was attended by other Chief Secretary (Family) Mohammad Abid Majeed, senior member of the Tax Commission, Mohammad Javed Marwat, executive secretary, police officer, representatives of law enforcement agencies, representatives of anti-Nagurs, anti-taxpayer troops, and other provincial and federal agencies. Commissioners, district police, deputy commissioner and district police also joined it through video links.

The meeting reviewed progress on porridge implementation by provincial departments, departments and regional governments, LEAs and federal agencies. ACS (home) briefed this. A discussion was followed on the challenges, gaps and practical recommendations for improving the implementation of pap smears.
