He also recalled that Trump and his team “played a crucial role in preventing potentially devastating wars between India and Pakistan,” adding: “Because we thank him from the bottom of our hearts.”
The remarks mentioned that Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also accompanied the Prime Minister.
When asked about the upcoming meeting of journalists, Prime Minister Shebaz declined to comment, saying: “This is not the right time; I will only talk after the meeting is over.”
The Prime Minister’s Office also released images from the meeting with Katari Emir Sheikh Tamad Al Thani, King Abdullah II of Jordan and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
After the meeting, both the White House and Pakistan’s mission in Washington will be held in Washington, but no formal statement will be made until the media release.
