KP police successfully retrieve three men kidnapped in Nowshera – Pakistan

On Tuesday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police successfully recovered three men kidnapped in Nowshera.

Nowshera police spokesman Turk Ali Shah told earlier dawn.com “The Counter-terrorism sector has been given the task of working and releasing the abducted.”

The first information report of the incident (FIR) registered a day ago at the CTD Mardan Circle Police Station with the complaint of the engineer’s father under Section 365A of the Pakistan Criminal Law Act (kidnapping or deprivation of extorted property) and Section 7 (punishment of terrorist acts).

A statement issued by KP police today said officials from the Nizampur Police Department were informed of an alert about the incident.

It added that Nowshera District Police Ahmad Shah assigned the task to House official Altaf Hussain at Nizampur Station and Deputy Inspector Waqas Yousuf Wittim to safely rescue the abducted man.

“The team safely rescued the three kidnapped people with cooperation and efforts from other places in the area,” the statement said.

The complainant once said in the FIR: “My Sun… is an engineer at a telecommunications company and recently he was asked to install fiber optic cables into Nizampur.”

He said his contact with his son was interrupted and he kept trying, but his son’s phone was turned off.

The father added that his son was accompanied by a role of laborer and a driver of Parhoti Mardan, who were also taken away. The first noted that on the evening of Sunday’s incident, another complainant’s son received a photo on his whatsapp, his brother and two other men kidnapped by the abductors demanded the release of Rs 5 million.
