European Council President Antonio Costa said that while each of its 27 members did not recognize the Palestine state, all were committed to a two-state solution and ended the conquest in Gaza.
Speech Al Jazeera In the United Nations in New York, Costa said the latest moves in France, Andra, Belgium, Luxembourg, Malta and Monaco refer to the current recognition of Palestine’s “major members”.
“Some of them think this is not the right time to know Palestine,” he said. “But everyone supports the idea of a project and a two-state solution.”
Most importantly, he said, everyone is engaged to stop this.
“This is the time to stop the Holocaust,” he said. “It is very important for Israel to understand that they are losing friends around the world.”
