Beirut: An Israeli drone strike killed five people, including three children, in the small town of Bint Jbeil, a southern Lebanese town, Lebanon’s Ministry of Health said.
The Lebanese National News Agency said the strike hit a car and a car and injured two other vehicles.
Parliament President Nabih Berri said in a statement that the father and his three children were among the dead and the mother was injured. He said they were heroic citizenship.

Lebanon is under pressure from domestic rivals of the United States, Saudi Arabia and Hezbollah Disarming So-called Iran-backed groups.
Hezbollah said discussing disarmament would be a serious misspelling as Israel continues to launch air strikes on Lebanon and occupy land in its southern territory.

“The state of the guarantor of the ceasefire agreement should put the greatest pressure on Israel to immediately stop its aggression and withdraw from occupied Lebanese territory and free detainees,” he said.
The November ceasefire was overseen by committees including the United States and France, as well as Lebanon and Israel. Israel increased the number and frequency of strikes in Lebanon this week.
The Israeli military said on Thursday it attacked several southern Lebanon’s arsenal belonging to Hezbollah.
Faced with enormous pressure from the United States and fear of the growing Israeli strike, the Lebanese government is seeking to lift Hezbollah. Foreign Minister Youssef Raggi said the military will complete the disarmament of Iran-backed groups within three months. The Army said Thursday’s strikes had caused Israel to violate the ceasefire and warned them of risking Hezbollah’s disarmament.
