Lahore: Fashion designer Khadija Shah is approaching the Lahore High Court (LHC) to challenge her conviction In the case of May 9.

Ms. Shah argues through her advocate Sameer Khosa that Shah is not involved in the smudge of a Supreme Court judge in a nearby judge Kinner House During the riot.

She insisted that she did not mention her name in the FIR nor was she implicated by a supplementary statement.

No identification parade was conducted to establish her presence on the scene.

The trial was a hero in Kot Lakhpat’s prison, acquitted 21 of 51 accused and 12 were declared as pronounced criminals. Ms. Shah was convicted and recently sentenced to five years in prison and fined Rs 100,000.

The appeal stressed that the prosecutor’s case relies solely on her social media campaign, on May 9, 2023.

However, the trial court reviewed her entire online data without a legal basis, alleging that it was “flawed, vague and unsustainable.”

The appeal stressed that the judge was “based on assumptions” and lacked reliable evidence to link Shah to the alleged crime.
