Karachi: Police said a retired official from a Pakistani steel mill was killed during a robbery at a home of a equipment association near Gulshan-i on Saturday morning.
They said more than eight pistol-robbers robbers broke into the house of 70-year-old Rao Javed Ali Khan, the hero was a hostage at the gun, beat the family, robbed cash, jewelry and other valuables, and fled.

He said the robbery happened around 2 a.m. and the robber locked his family in a room and fled the plundered goods.
Dr. Malir SSP Abdul Khaliq Pirzada told the media during a visit to the crime scene that Mr Khan, former deputy manager of the steel plant, died of assault, shock and heart attack during the robbery.
He said the robber who had been in the house for more than two hours also took away some files.
He said some people were detained for trial. He believes the robbery is “different” from other robberies in the area.
The deceased was the elder brother of local Jamat – Islamic leader Rao Muhaji Hussein.
