Head of the Navy staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, inaugurated the new dental college and hospital at Bahria University Health Sciences Campus (Buhsc) in Karachi.
The dental college and the hospital were built to serve academic and clinical purposes. The institution is equipped with modern laboratories, lecture halls and treatment units and will provide education and transition to dental students, while it is also official health care services to the public.
University officials said the hospital would work with a double focus: future dental surgeons in accordance with international standards and affordable dental care to the community.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf Commedy Bahria University addressed the first ceremony for the establishment of a facility with advanced academic and healthcare resources. He emphasized the continued commitment of the Pakistan fleet to the support of the Pakistan fleet and noted that the new institution will contribute to the shortage of qualified dental professionals in Pakistan.
“The dental college and the hospital at the University of Bahria have the potential to produce compialists who can play a significant role in the country’s healthcare system,” he said.
The Bahria University Health Sciences Campus, founded in Karachi in 2013, has a medical and dental college, nursing school, and various related health sciences programs.
The inauguration was attended by senior officials of the Pakistan Navy, representatives of the University of Bahria, and leading experts of the fields of medical, dental and related health sciences.
