CDA allocates land for five police stations – Pakistan

Islamabad: The Capital Development Agency (CDA) allocates land to five police stations in the capital that have been operating without dedicated buildings since its inception.

Police sources told dawn In a recent meeting, the Ministry of the Interior asked the CDA to provide plots of land for police stations built by green belts that operate in buildings of interest outside of their jurisdiction or within other police stations’ premises.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from the ministry, CDA and police, including the Islamic Police Department (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi in ​​Islamabad. Decided to transfer the police station from green belts, buildings of interest, judicial education areas and shared facilities.

Islamabad police seek more land for five other police stations

In response, the CDA directed to seek time for the Ministry of the Interior after allocating appropriate land to the police department within a few days.

Police requested that land be allocated in their respective jurisdictions, along easily accessible locations along major roads. They stressed that police movements and mobility of police cars should be hindered.

A separate police team was formed to investigate the city and determine the appropriate land for the police station. Based on the recommendations of these teams, sites were proposed to the CDA for allocation.

According to police sources, the buildings of Coral, Kilpa, Kana, Horak and Bankra police stations are located on the green belt. The Shamas Colony Police Department operates in a rented building while the Phulgran Police Department runs inside the Barakahu Police Department.

The Nilore and Lohher police stations are located in the old Choki building, while the Sangjani station operates under temporary arrangements along N-5.

So far, the CDA has allocated land for the Phulgran, Sangjani, Banigala, Shams Colony and Nilore Police Departments. Phulgran’s land has been allocated in Green Enclave-I on N-5, Sangjani, Banigala on Margalla Enclave, Shams Colony on I-12 Markaz and Nilore on Lethrar Road.

The police team also investigated the locations of the Khanna, Kirpa, Koral, Humak and Lohibher police stations, and later proposed land to the CDA. They demanded lands in the Lehman enclave where Gulberg Green is resident, Kulberg Green in Gulberg Green and Khanna in Lohibher in Capital Enclave.

The CDA will build a new police station for the capital police.

The authorities also invited electronic bids to build Humak, Lohher, Kirpa, Nilore, Calal, Shams Colony, Sangjani and Phulgran police stations. Rs 95.96 lakh were reserved for the construction of each station.

Meanwhile, construction of Golra and Women’s Police Department is already underway. Golra Station is built in the premises of existing facilities, while the Women’s Police Department is built in G-7 Markaz near the old building.

The renovation work is also in the police stations of Aabpara, Margalla, Tarnol, Shalimar, Sumbal, Kohsar, Karachi Company, Ramna, Ramna, Sertegariat, Noon, Sabzi Mandi, Sabzi Mandi, Sihala, Barakahu and Shahzad Town.

AIG Logistics, SSP Law and Order, SSP Operations, SP City, SP Dolphin and Patrolling, SP Saddar, SP Security and Discipline, SP I Region, SP SOAN and SP RURAL have been appointed to monitor the quality and progress of renovation and construction work.
