Washington: Pakistan joined the vast majority at the UN General Assembly on Friday in support of a resolution that grants Palestinian states greater participation during the General Assembly 80th Session.
The resolution, with 145 votes in favor, against 5 and 6 votes, including the United States and Israel.
Four of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council – Britain, China, France and Russia – support the resolution. Several U.S. allies including Germany, Belgium and Saudi Arabia also received a vote in favor.
