Intermediate and Secondary Education (Bise) Gujranwala reveals a clear performance gap between male and female students. In each academic stream, both regular and private female candidates performed better than their male counterparts, which continued a consistent trend of previous years.

Overall pass percentage

According to the official data:

  • Boys (all groups combined): 20.358 appeared, 10.309 passed – 50.65%
  • Girls (all groups combined): 68.797 appeared, 51.963 passed – 75.52%
  • Joint Total: 89,155 appeared, 62,272 passed – 69.83%

The numbers highlight a performance gap of nearly 25 percentage points between male and female students in the total pass rate.

  • Male: 2.863 appeared, 2.191 passed – 76.53%
  • Female: 2.768 appeared, 2.397 passed – 86.60%

Pre-entrance Sports Group

  • Male: 2.254 appeared, 1.703 passed – 75.56%

Gender gap in academic achievement

Female students fared better than male students in every large group. The difference was particularly expressed in humanities and pre -meaning, where girls recorded significantly high struggling. In trade and general science, the female lead has concentrated, strengthening the overall tendency over the Gujranwala board.
