Gujrat: The FIA Gujranwala area claimed to have arrested a trafficking agent suspected of illegal immigrants because they used fake credentials and certificates but were football players.
Senior FIA officials said Waqas Ali, a suspect in Pasruel resident Sialkot, was arrested in the September 15 case.
The official said Sisters Ray managed to obtain a 15-day visit visa under the invitation of Boavista Football Club, with the connivance of 17 immigrants.
The official claimed he used a registration letter from the forged Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) and used a false NOC from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The official claimed that sister Page blackmailed Rs 4 to Rs 45 lakh from each of the 17 people. He said they went to Japan on January 1, 2024 and never returned.
Muhammad bin Ashraf, director of Fia Gujranwala, told dawn The case has been registered against the sisters and further investigation is underway.
The suspect also nominated the mission of the 22 best rugby teams to Japan on June 15, 2025 in another similar case in the FIA Gujilanwara Circle. However, the organization was deported by Japanese immigration authorities and then reported the matter to the FIA.
The FIA launched an investigation, eventually arresting the sisters and registering the case against him.
