Quetta: The Bal Road Chitchen government has introduced the first advanced financial digital electronic document application system in the province to promote transparency and digital government.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti launched the digital finance electronic application system at a ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Tuesday. Governors, members of parliament and senior officials from various administrative departments participated in the event.
The initiative marks an important step in modernizing public sector operations and providing citizens with direct access to financial and development data.
The chief minister said at the inauguration that the new system would simplify financial processes, eliminate bureaucracy inefficiency and strengthen public supervision.
Citizens will be able to monitor projects and financial records through digital access
“The electronic file system is designed to serve as the backbone of comprehensive financial reforms across the province,” Mr Bugti said, whose core features include online budget submissions, which now require digital submissions of budget requests for all government departments.
He said the system will help record and access all financial transactions at each stage of approval. The goal is to replace outdated and opaque programs that destroy efficiency for a long time, he said.
Officials will have access to real-time data, resulting in faster and better information decisions. Meanwhile, citizens will be able to monitor development projects and financial records on their equipment, thus checking whether the plan has been completed or only proposed.
“Bal Luzhi Province is now entering the digital age, aligning with global standards of transparency and accountability,” the Chief Minister said.
To ensure rapid implementation, he directed all department secretaries to adopt the system immediately. He also announced that future cabinet meetings will be held on digital tablets to avoid delays and phase out paper processes.
CM Bugti praised the local officials and IT experts who developed the system, noting that it was entirely built by youth and professionals from Bal Luzhi Province, without external assistance. He also announced a one-month salary bonus to government employees involved in the project and committed to providing similar incentives to private sector contributors as a commendable representative.
Earlier, Finance Minister Imran Zarkoon, gave a detailed introduction to the system’s functions. The ceremony concluded the Chief Minister’s distribution of the Certificate of Appreciation to the Development Team, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to the responsible and transparent use of public resources.
