Prime Minister Shehbaz made a state visit at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FO).
“During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold a bilateral meeting with the Crown Prince to review the entire scope of Pakistan-Saudi Arab relations.”
Both leaders are expected to exchange views on mutually beneficial regional and global development, the FO said. It added: “This visit is expected to lead to formal cooperation in various fields, reflecting the shared commitment of both parties to further enhance and deepen their long-standing brotherly relationship.”
The statement highlighted the “historical relationship” between the country, said the visit would “provide an important opportunity for both leaders to merge this unique partnership while exploring new avenues of cooperation to benefit both countries”.
The Prime Minister accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq DAR, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangze, Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar, Federal Environment Minister Musadik Malik and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, State Media Pakistan radio Report.
